- How quickly can I have my alarm installed?
- First Contact Security Ltd recognise that having made the wise decision to secure you home, it is essential that your security needs are met promptly and efficiently. A First Contact Security Ltd alarm system can normally be fitted and activated by a fully qualified engineer within 48 hours of you order.
- Can I take the system with me if I move?
- If we have service cover in the area you are moving to, yes. Our engineers must remove and refit the system and the customer will be charged the installation price only. In reality, the incoming occupant usually wants the alarm and will negotiate a price with our customer. The lifetime guarantee is transferable to the incoming occupant.
- What happens if I have an extension built or have new doors and windows fitted?
- As our systems are wireless, existing detectors can be moved easily or additional detectors added to maintain high levels of security throughout your home.
- Can I have the alarm on when i'm at home?
- The alarm system can be set to have certain zones or sensors omitted in order to provide protection form intrusion while you are at home.
- Will my system false alarm?
- A vast amount of false alarms are due to poor installation or inferior equipment. As First Contact Security Ltd only use fully trained engineers and install equipment of the highest quality, our systems have one of the lowest false activation rates available.
- What happens if there is a power cut?
- The First Contact Security Ltd panel has a back-up battery that will operate the system in alarm condition for at least 8 hours (more likely 20 hours), when the mains power comes back on it simply recharges the battery. If the power cut is a particularly long one and the battery should start to run low, the system will advise us and we will contact the customer, or if unavailable, one of the key holders.
- How do I change my key holder details?
- It's simple, just contact First Contact Security Ltd on 02477 672 090 with your changes. Make sure to tell your key holders what to do incase they receive a call from us. You then need to confirm the changes in writing.
